The Copper Cut-off is coming – Be NBN Connected
The rollout of the National Broadband Network (NBN) is well underway with many Australian homes and businesses connecting to the network using the NBN. A recent finder.com.au business survey found that “of a possible 7 million homes and businesses now able to connect to the network via a mix of technologies including the NBN only slightly more than half that number of buildings have actually been connected. In other words, about 50% of occupants who could be using the NBN are not doing so. This gap is likely to widen as the 2020 rollout completion date approaches.”
From a Business perspective SOMA IT can help you manage the transition from a traditional Copper connection to the NBN. As a Telstra Approved ICT Partner SOMA IT can provide you up to date advice on the availability of the NBN to your business premises and help you navigate the transition to NBN technology in a seamless way.
Finder.com.au went on to say, “homes and businesses typically have 18 months to migrate to the NBN from the date a connection is made available. After this time, traditional copper and cable-based phone and Internet services will be severed. Ultimately, switching to the NBN will be necessary for those in fixed line (FTTP, FTTN, HFC) areas who want to maintain a fixed-line Internet connection.”
SOMA IT can offer practical advice, accurate costings and timeframes for the transition of your business to the NBN.
